Change my email address

There’s no way to change your account email address in the app today. If your email changes, the only option is to contact support to update it. Add a self-serve way to update your email in account settings: enter a new address, confirm it through a link sent to that address so a typo can’t lock you out, and notify the old address that the email changed. Sign-in should work on the new address right away.

Searching for women’s stuff

My wife just joined (she has a pair of Grant Stone Nora boots) and she was hoping to be able to search for women’s boots on the app. Yes, you can of course just type in the word “women’s” but that’s a bit hit-or-miss. It would be really nice if you could filter by gender — or filter by the gender of the user — so she could see what boots other women are wearing.

Claim legacy Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome submissions

Let users request ownership of legacy Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome submissions that were created before Patina Project handled the submission flow. Some older Thunderdome submissions exist on Patina but are not connected to the right user account. A claim flow would help users reconnect those historic submissions to their current account without contacting support for each case. This would make legacy Thunderdome submissions easier to preserve, manage, and view from the correct account.

Problem logging on

I’ve used the app for a long time on my iphone. A couple of days I found I was logged out and have not been able to get back in. I try to log in through my google account like I just did here but then it defaults me back to the “create a new profile” page. I click the link saying I have an account and it takes me to log in, I hit log in with google, and it takes me back to the create a new profile page. I’ve tried it numerous times over the past few days and keep having the same issue. Anything that can be done about it?

Official community guidelines

Right now there's no clear set of community guidelines on Patina Project. This leads to confusion about what's allowed and what isn't, especially since some folks mix up rules from other platforms with ours. It would be great to have a dedicated, easy-to-find page that spells out: What kind of content is and isn't allowed How moderation works This would help set expectations for everyone and give mods something concrete to point to. Keeps things fair and transparent.

Community discussion posts

Sometimes you want to share something with the community, such as a new release, boot world news, something you saw online, but there's no place for it. The only option today is adding a photo to an item album, even when the post has nothing to do with that item. Should we add a way to start discussions that aren't tied to a specific item profile? Would you use this?
