Hello everyone!

For those new to Stitchdown Premium or the Patina Thunderdome, let me introduce myself (Ted) and Hillary. We started Patina Project with a goal to provide the absolute best companion app for anyone into boots: a place where people can contribute valuable information, such as how different leathers age with wear. And ultimately, the best way to discover your next pair of favorite boots, so that you know exactly what you need for the perfect pair. Last year we partnered with Stitchdown to surface the 19,827 photos of the 502 boots in the 2021-2022 Patina Thunderdome to the world. For this year’s Thunderdome, we will be hosting the photo submission process through the Patina Project app.

📣 We need your help!

In order to make the Patina Thunderdome the smoothest experience we possibly can, we pushed up a beta test for our brand-new contest features in Patina Project. The beta will let you try out the boot registration and photo submission processes. Please make sure to post some photos to the beta, since this helps us stress test the upload process. We would love your feedback—anything that feels unclear, confusing, or difficult, please don’t hold back! We can’t wait to join ya’ll in the ‘Dome! 🙇

IMPORTANT:

• Registering for the beta test does NOT register you into the Patina Thunderdome. You would need to register again for the real contest.

• Do NOT wear your Thunderdome boots for this beta test—feel free to use any other pair!

• Anything uploaded to the Patina Project Beta Contest will be deleted at a later time.
